This Privacy Policy explains which personal data are processed when you visit www.fabiosoft.com (the “Site”), why, on which legal basis and what your rights are, in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679, “GDPR”) and Italian privacy law.

What data we process and why
Server logs and hosting
The Site is hosted by Aruba S.p.A. (Italy), which acts as data processor. When you visit a page, the server automatically records technical data such as your IP address, browser and operating system, requested URL, referring page, date and time. These data are used only to deliver the Site, keep it secure and diagnose errors, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), and are kept for a limited period.
Analytics: Google Analytics 4
With your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) we use Google Analytics 4, provided by Google Ireland Limited, to understand how the Site is used (pages viewed, time on page, device and browser type, approximate location at country/city level, traffic sources). Google Analytics 4 uses cookies and pseudonymous identifiers and does not log or store IP addresses. Event-level analytics data linked to cookies and identifiers are automatically deleted after a maximum of 14 months (the retention period configured in Google Analytics); aggregated reports are not affected. Advertising: Google AdSense
The Site shows ads served by Google AdSense (Google Ireland Limited). With your consent, Google and its partners may use cookies and similar identifiers to show personalised ads based on your interests and to measure ad performance. If you do not consent, Google may show non-personalised or limited ads, which still use cookies or identifiers for frequency capping, aggregated reporting and to prevent fraud and abuse. Comments
If you leave a comment, we collect the name, email address and website you enter, together with your IP address and browser user agent, to publish the comment and prevent spam. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Comments and their metadata are kept until you ask us to delete them. Your email address is never published.
To show your profile picture next to the comment, an anonymised string created from your email address (a hash) may be sent to the Gravatar service (Automattic Inc.). See the Automattic Privacy Policy.
Embedded content from other websites
Some articles include content embedded from other websites (for example a YouTube video, provided by Google). Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website: it may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it. WordPress may also load emoji images from s.w.org (WordPress.org), which receives your IP address.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site itself does not set cookies for visitors, except the optional comment cookies described below. Analytics and advertising cookies are set only after you give your consent through the consent banner, where you can also change or withdraw your choices at any time. Data transfers outside the EU
Google and Automattic may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to which these providers are certified, and/or on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
Your rights
Under Articles 15–22 GDPR you have the right to:
- access your personal data and obtain a copy;
- ask for rectification or erasure;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
To exercise your rights, write to fabionisci@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of your country.
Children
The Site is not directed to children under 14 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the Site or the services it uses change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last updated.
